Hello,

I need to be able to release a license that a client borrowed.

I have bounced between some prior documentation, but it fails.

That told me to goto my solidworks area on the server which is at -

c:\Program Files (x86)\SolidWorks Corp\SolidNetWork License Manager

From there I went into the \utils subdirectory and would run this command -

swlmutil.exe lmremove solidworks cpronschinske WA-CPRONSCHINSKE-7QFYR1 WA-CPRONSCHINSKE-7QFY2R1

BUT THAT RETURNS THS ERROR -

lmremove: No such feature exists. (-5,357)

Next, I checked the LicenseEndUserGuide.pdf which does not really match the license install.   ???

So,  have tried to use the built in command line help with swlmutil.exe which gave me a new command line syntax to try.

swlmutil.exe lmborrow -c sw_d.lic -d WA-CPRONSCHINSKE-7QFY2R1

BUT THAT RETURNS AN ERROR
ERROR:  swlmutil - could not find 'lmutil'.

Problem is, the file IS THERE?

At this point I have a very bad headache and no idea what to try next (that would fix it).

Why there is no release built into the "Solidworks Network License Manager" confounds me, as that would seem to be a MANAGMENT function.

Now I am off to get 2 asprin, can anyone HELP FROM THAT POINT ON?
