Use both standalone and network licenses on same computer?

Due to problems with our VAR, we ended up with a standalone license that should have been a network.  I am working to remedy this issue but in the meantime, I have a question about what we can do.

Our network has several standard, premium and simulation premium licenses on it.  The recently purchased license is a professional standalone.  Given our current license shortage, I really need to get this up and running on a computer.  The problem with switching that computer to a standalone license is that it will no longer have access to simulation premium.  Is there a way to install it so that we can use the standalone professional license most of the time but easily use a network license when we need to use the simulation premium?  Looking in the license manager, it appears that you can only install a standalone or a network, not both.  Is this correct?  If we can't do this, this standalone license is useless to us and I am going to have to put more pressure on the VAR to fix it quickly.
