Windows Short Date is set to YYYY-MM-DD, but SW PropertyTab Builder is returning MM/DD/YYYY
Win 7 Pro x64 & SW13-SP1.
System has been rebooted.
PTB is set correctly to read Short Date.
Anyone else seeing this or know how to rectify.
Just got word back for our VAR
Go to pull down Tools
in the resulting window scroll down to the Solidworks Add-ins section
underneath it you'll find an entry Solidworks Forum 2013
switch it off
Next time you reboot SW 2013 it should no longer give you this issue.
Have you tried changing the windows settings
Even though it is set properly on PTB and macros, it follows the settings as per the windows time format
Give it a try
Yes, That was the first thing I checked. (See first sentence). I even changed to another format, rebooted and then changed back to what I want, and rebooted. PTB still returns incorrect format.
I only installed SW13 two weeks ago, and haven't had much detailing work since then, so I'm not sure if this has been the case since SW13 was installed, or just happened.
I checked the date format on my SW 2013 SP1.0 running on Win 8 64bit machine and it is working perfect.
Whenever I change the Windows date format, SW also follows the same
See the screen shot below
You will notice all the date formats (Don't get confused of drawn date, it is purposely set to July 1,2013)
Strange. The date appears correct everywhere (all apps & programs) except SW PTB.
Filling out the date by means of the property tab builder leads to unexpected behaviour.
Dates before the 13th have the MM-DD notation, dates after the 12th have the DD-MM notation on the drawing but in the custom properties side panel they all show up as MM-DD and this although everything else on my system is set up for DD-MM
Thank you, Peter.
The date mysteriously started working correctly a few days ago. I had turned the forum add-in off around that time, but didn't make the connection.
I just discovered enabling the Part Reviewer also screws up the date format in SW14-SP5.
The bug still persists in SW14-SP5.
