What version of Windows 7 are you using?
Home or Pro?
only Pro is supported by SW.
so I have had students with certain PC's have issues others with Home Win7 no problem. Some just give fits to install.
you have to turn off all virus protection while installing, turning off firewall helps too.
is the student version SDK verion or the Premium store bought one?
Thanks for the input!
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, and I didn't think there were any virus protection or firewalls on my computer since it's practically brand new. I'll double check for any antivirus software.
And the Solidworks version is 2012 SP2.0 x64, it won't show me whether it's SDK or Premium, but it's a University copy with multiple student install discs if that helps?
And it's "Visual Studio Tools" that is causing the error, due to a file not being found, if that helps too?
