Is it possible to propagate information from the standards from within Toolbox to Custom properties as per attached.
Have you made any progress with your query? Interedsted in the same question myself, as well as linking the properties to EPDM Variables
If you want the "part number CFBOM3-6" and the "description M3-6..." in your custom properties then yes there is.
Though I would speak to your VAR and get them to do it, as I did, as there is a wierd way of doing it.
I am fine with exporting to a spreadsheet and use formulas to fill in the information. But what I really want is the info from other fields (like Sheet Hole Size" to appear in my custom Property "Hole Size"
Have you got that "Sheet hole size" in your excel sheet?
Yes I do, but as it stands at this point I have to manually add the data rather than pulling it from the data already in the Toolbox tables
I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but I've been configuring all my standard fasteners to comply with our naming conventions here.
If you open the solid part of the toolbox component you want to edit, go to the configuration tab and create a design table, you can then open the configurations in excel and use any of the properties to create any other properties.
Really useful for this are string operations in Excel. i.e. if I have two properties "SHCS" and "M8" that I want to combine that are in different cells (A1 & A2), I can type, in A3 "=A1 & "-" & A2" which will evaluate to "SHCS-M8"
Here's a screenshot of what I've been doing... This is for the standard SHCS toolbox parts.
I have a good understanding of the toolbox but have come across a problem where after adding to a excell colum it clears when it is reopened. the part is not in read only state.
