We are looking into storing RoHS and other certificates for our parts. Is anyone doing this in Enterprise? If so has this been a successful process?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Dan,
Could you kindly be specific on the file extensions of the certificate you intend to store in EPDM ?
ROHS,UL,CE etc., There are usually a PDF Documents which are Certificates for Compliance.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Raghav
The documents types would be several types, some of them would be our own in-house documents. If parts in an assembly are marked as complying or not complying with a RoHS, UL etc., is it easy to get a report out of enterprise to see which parts do or do not match the requirements. If they do not can the part be flagged in our EPR system as not to order? Perhaps the question might also be how are people handling RoHS requirements?

Well if that's the case, I would suggest have a Combo Box Drop down, from where one could select Yes and No.
The same variables can also be added in the BOM columns or Search Results. You could always use the data card to perform search.
We could always generate the reports for these items, But I would say search should be more than suffcient.
We didn't use the ROHS or UL but something similar.
Hope this helps !
Raghav.
Thanks Raghavendra,
We do not have Enterprise yet, the last I heard it is in our budget for the second quarter of 13. We are looking into putting all the information into our ERP system which is SAP. In order to do this we need to outsource the programming but the way you sound this should be able to be done in Enterprise fairly easy.
