Hi all,

I'm have the part model of a canoe in solidworks and am trying to calculate the volume of only a section of it. I've created a section view of it, starting from the bottom and going upwards towards the gunwales. My goal is to determine the volume of this section so I can calculate how much the canoe will sink in water when it gest loaded with people. So far, by using the "Mass Properties" tool, I can only get the values for the total mass and volume of the entire canoe instead of only the section. Would anyone know how to calculate the volume of a section in solidworks?
