Hi
Fisrt off all i want to tell that i am not an experience user..
The software dont belong to me... but in the company i work
The problem :.
I download a free car model in solidworks format .sldprt
i saw some tutorials about cfd analysis and try to make cfd analysis from simple objects i created in 3DS (imported as a wrl )
Now when i open the sldrtp file of the car model the scan says that has nothing bad surfaces
i open the cfd wizard and make the adjustments
But after cfd Analysis... when i open to see the results.. all the lines of forces pass through the model.. not over it..
why?
i will post later some pictures of the problem..
have you looked at the mesh of the models? in the results, go to mesh and select all solid cells. This will show you what the software has approximated your geometry as. I would assume it has over simplified the top model.
As for the car - is it a solid or surfaces? Flow only solves for fluids to move around solids, surfaces are ignored as they have no finite thickness. This could be why the flow passes through the model. Again, check the mesh.
