Any clues....why assembly file not opening all of a sudden..???
I am working/modifying this assembly for quite a long time now (6 months), and it suddenly started showing this error message.
I am using SW2012 SP04

Most probably the files got currupted. Report this to your local VAR.

I had the same issue quite recently. I have been given with few tips , basically the are
1. If you have installed your graphics card driver through windows update, That might cause trouble. The reason being Solidworks migh not have tested it. So Graphic card driver update to be done from Solidworks website only.So I did uninstall the drier and reinstalled through Solidworks.
2. Re install solidworks, just in case if there are any errors happened during upgrade, if you have done a recent upgrade.
3. Last thing is a network issue. So when the data transfer is done, there may be some data drops in the network, so EPDM is recomended .

Might your file get corrupted. might your system during working/saving the file. which version you have as now?
