i would like to simulate a model which contains a bulb at its core and mirrors at diffrent angles so that the light gets reflected and comes out uniformly through out the box. how i would i do it, whether it is possible using solid works??
I don't know that SolidWorks can do that, but I have a software called TracePro that could handle it. I assume you're interested in the lighting performance?
yaa i'm interested in lighting performance only so i would i use it??
Yes, TracePro is specifically for lighting analysis.
The company I work for offers lighting analysis as a service... Let me know if you'd like me to put you in touch with out lighting expert.
TracePro is one option. You might also visit the SW partner pages and look for lighting / optics add-ins. There is Breault ASAP, ZEMAX IE, and OptisWorks. I use Optis and have for several years.
