Same problem here. See the thread I began below beginning Oct
12. I still haven't found a solution, and we tried every setting we
knew of in our firewall that might be blocking it. Even when
monitoring our firewall, no blocking activity was noted. I've tried
both IE Explorer and Firefox with their lowest security settings to
no avail. My VAR even tried a webex, and now he's puzzled, too. It
must be something through our network, so I downloaded the files at
home, put them on a flash drive and brought them to work.

I'm still trying to figure out why your Installation Manager
looks like the Customer Portal on the website, but mine does not.
Even so, going through the Customer Portal I can't get to a window
that looks anything like your image, and I think I've already
navigated the entire site twice.
Anyway, when I do go through the 2007 Installation Manager to
update the files, right after it starts the download process (see
attached file), I receive the attached error message.
Updating isn't really all that big of a deal anymore, but
it's beginning to bug me that I can't get it to work. Now, it's
just becoming personal!
Thanks to all for your feedback,
Herbert

This is exactly what happens to me. Anyone from Solid Works
know how to correct this?

I had to log into the customer portal, go to the downloads
page, select the SP I wanted (just like usual), then navigate to
the bottom of the page for the manual download link. See pic.
The download manager thingy doesn;t work for me, our rights
are insufficient to run it, so I used the manual update, runs OK
but a very slow patch process, took nearly an hour to run
