Problem in including mate value in equation

Hi all,

I am trying to include a distance mate in an equation. The LHS is a feature dimension and I want the RHS to be the distance mate (multiplied by a constant). The problem is when I select the feature and the feature dimensions highlight, I double the feature dimension I want to add an equation to. After selecting the equations tab from the drop down list, I double click on the mate in the feature manager tree. As soon as I move my cursor on the highlighted mate, it vanishes into thin air! With some practice I managed to outsmart the PC and move my cursor fast enough to the spot where the mate appears and clicked. The equation window does take the input (something like "D1@distancemate") but the words appear in red letters and the "OK" button is not activated. Help needed Pronto! Cheers!!!
