Roller bearing or cam simulation on tube

Question asked by David Burrell on Dec 5, 2012

I have created an assembly that has an outer tube (in white) with a special profile cut into the top portion.  I have an inner shaft (silver) that fits inside the outer tube that has a roller bearing mounted to the outside such that when the inner shaft rotates on its axis, the roller bearing will ride on the special profile on the outer tube causing a dipping motion with constant rotation at the same time.  The only problem I have with the model is the roller bearing passes right trough the outer tube.  I have tried various mates but I haven't been able to find a solution and I haven't been able to get physical properties working either.

Thanks for your time
