How can I export solidworks assembly file to 3d max?
I have more then one configuration in this file (aprox. 100 configurations) to export and I want to do it fast as i can...
Their is any idea??
You can use the macro to export the configurations as multiple files. What format like IGES, Parasolid, Step, etc. can 3dMax import and then you can modify the macro available here Batch Part File Export (STEP)
thank you for the fast response.
How do I use the macro for this situation? how the macro knows to give a different name for each configuration?
I didnt understand what is the file you added
Try the attached macro. This will save as all configuration of the assembly as IGES file with configuration name as file name.
To use the macro:
Test it on a small assembly with 2-3 configuration and then finally use on the final assembly. make sure you backup your data before using the macro.
Edit: The corrected macro in the post below.
Thank you but:
This macro made new files with the names of all configurations but with the same configuration for all of them.
do you know how to fix this?
Here is corrected, added the line to show config.
Did you managed to solve this?
Did you tried the updated macro I posted above.
Thank you very much.
It is working great.
now I can go out for a coffee...
