    How is your library set-up?

    Justin Hoidahl

      Hello All,

We have a standard library set-up for our company that contains purchase parts. We draw most of them from scratch and simplify them as much as possible. Each one has a design table which contains some custom property information for ordering them and also contains dimensions for driving configurations. Some of these tables have gotten rather large with many configs such as bearings or bolts. We are being told by our VAR that all these configs are bad for our EPDM system and are causing performance isues. We use large assemblies alot and 1500 part top level assemblies are common. We are being told to break down our library and get rid of configs. My question is how do you have your library of purchase parts set-up? Do you use configs or individual part files or something in between?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
