I have recently started using Solidworks to create parts to manufacture. Up until now, I have used another software to make drawings to load into esprit to generate code. I have tried to load a part from Solidworks and keep getting error saying file is empty. I have searched through help, and am finding something about file comfirmation???? Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
The problem is, we are currently in process of relocation. I have no problem importing and opening on my desktop-which is at the other location. I have current maintenance on both programs, but have not loaded this years version of either. I am using Esprit 2012 and Solidworks 2012. This tells me that most likely it is a setting of sorts that is not allowing the import. I have a call in to Solidworks, but have no response yet.

What version of Esprit do you have and what version of SolidWorks?
Esprit will open SolidWorks files directly. But you need to have the correct version of Esprit for the version of SolidWorks files you are trying to open.
