Thank You Justin that has answered some of my question.
The double LMB on the header letter to change reference, is not opening up any table to choose from, is this how it works or do you type in a reference.
It will open up options for the BOM I know for sure, as it *should* for the cutlist. A general table I don't believe will auto-populate any options, I will look at this when I'm back to work Monday. It's best to use a BOM or something of that sort, modify your column options and resave. What version are you using? I know these column options have been available since at least '09 from my experience. It should just open a small pop-up with a drop-list of properties.

Do you want customized columns? You can edit them by RMB on the lettered header row, and inserting columns, or double LMB a header letter to change the reference for that column.
When you have it set up how you like, RMB anywhere on the table and 'Save As' in to your appropriate templates location (either SW original or custom folders, just be sure to add your custom folder location to file location under System Options --> File Locations, then either BOM Template or Weldment Templates, etc).
