Does anybody know why I get this error ?(see picture) If I select coincident on the pop up menu when I select the entities, I get the error. However, I can go to the property manager and select it there no problem. Any ideas?
Doesn't make any sense to me why SW would act like that. Can you post your part file?
I am not sure if I am allowed to...
However, it happens in probably half of my parts I make so I don't think it is part related. Just a "local" glitch I guess?
If it happens on a lot of your parts, can you make a meaningless sample part just to reproduce the error (and upload here)?
If it happened on that great of a percentage of parts for me, I'd be talking to my VAR.
Here you go. I tried to make the point of the horizontal line coincident to the vertical line.
I tried to make the point of the horizontal line coincident to the vertical line and had no problem. Solidworks 2012 SP2.
i can reproduce it here, with your part. but it works fine when I start a new part.
the invalid geometry usually means it would create a zero length line, but that is definately not the case here
Seems odd to me. I could repeat the error, but then it would work both ways after I used the Prop Mngr then undid it.
Strange thing is if I used CTRL to select both, I got the error. Using SHIFT, no error...
It also worked for me if I clicked both items using CTRL, deselected one, then selected it again.
I could not, however, get it to repeat when I made a new part/sketch from my computer with the same setup.
Wow this is really interesting...
I tried using shift and I still got the error. However, when I ctrl select both, unselect one, and reselect it like you mentioned... No error.
