The title says it really, wanting a note to have a relation to a part drawing so if i move that view the note/s will follow.
Click on a drawing view to activate it and then start and place the note. You can also cut/copy an existing note, then activate the required view and paste the note.
That works great! I was copying the note and must have been pasting it outside the drawing view then bringing it back into the drawing view.
Is there any way of adding a relation though??? as in my drawing sheet format my linked properties can easily be moved about. I would like to fully define them?
Once you set the position, then click on note and lock it via its property manager.
Thanks Depak that works good enough!!!
I wouldn't mind taking this a step further.
It drives me nuts that I can't add relations between annotations/notes and sketched drawing items and/or model items in a drawing view.
There are little handles that you can use to drag and drop, there is a function that you can use to "snap to rectangle center", but there's nothing that'll assure that as your design changes you won't have to manually relocate your note.
Fortunately, there's an SPR in the knowledge base (541124) to address this, but who knows when there might actually be something done on that one.
