When I go to toolbox it says it is not added in, so I click "add in now." When I do this it says "no license exists for SolidWorks Toolbox. Would you like to run the activation wizard?" When I run the product activation it says the activation/reactivation is successful and says it never expires, but when I finish it then says "Unable to initialize the Add-In component."
What do I need to do from here, or what do I need to change in order to get toolbox working?

Welcome to the forum. I don't believe Toolbox is available with all of the versions of SW. Which version do you have (Standard, Professional, etc.)?
I am running SolidWorks Premium 2013 x64 Edition
I know it is included in the Premium and you have to go to tools>addins> and check toolbox components.
I did not think the toolbox was free as part of the standard version of Solidworks. I may be wrong.
It has been checked in the add ins, and that is what prompts the steps I described above.
You might try clicking on help at the top and selecting Solidworks Licence Manager. Then select the tab called Licence Usage. After this select Premium on the drop down and see if it shows you as logged in to a premium license.
Wayne I think you found the issue. Although I am running premium for some reason it says it has a standard license. Now I need to figure out how to make the standard license the professional license like it should be.
If you go to Tools > Addins... and check the boxes on both sides for SolidWorks Toolbox and SolidWorks Toolbox Browser and it still doesn't work, I would suggest contacting your VAR for help.
It turns out that this computer is just running a standard license which is preventing it from working. Thank you!
