We've recently acquired a small company that is using Inventor as their CAD platform. I was informed by our Solidworks VAR that PDM Enterprise can be installed with an Inventor Add-on so that Inventor files can be checked-in/out, have workflows, use templates, etc.
When we approve our Solidworks drawings via. a workflow, we utilize the Task Scheduler and automatically create a pdf. A PDM notification is sent to our document control department and the drawing gets controlled to our machine shop... works flawlessly. However, I cannot create New Task's to work with Inventor. The only "Add-In" available is "Solidworks Task Add-in". Has anyone created a conversion add-in to work with Inventor, or perhaps with other software so I can get my programmers to tweak it to work with Inventor?
Thanks,
Jeff Martin
