Looks like while the "shadow" entry has not changed in the SW 2013 help file:
When shadows are displayed, the light appears from the top-most part of the model in the current orientation.
... the actual behavior is different. It will always place the shadow towards the negative Y.
Can anyone please confirm seeing experiencing the same behavior on your machine?
With RealView OFF,
Edit the Scene.
Change the orientation of the scene floor.
Now the shadow will update to be on the scene floor. ie if you choose a planar face or YZ plane, the shadow will display there. This previously didn't happen.
