I'm builidng a SolidWorks assembly out of several pieces that need to move relative to each other, but which need to be printed in one piece. For example, I have a flat face with a hole through it and a button which has a stem through the hole but larger pieces on both the front and the back (so that it doesn't fall out). I also have a slider and a track with similar properties.
I have seen some mentions of the join command, but as far as I can tell that merges the two objects. I don't really want that, since they need to move relative to each other in order to preserve the button's and slider's actions. What is the right way to generate an STL of these two objects assembled?
