Is anyone storing Flow simulation files in WorkgroupPDM? If not how do you manage them?
There is an open Workgroup SPR that you should get yourself attached to.
It is 655285 “There is no possibility to check-in to the vault the result file (*.fld) of a COSMOS flow simulation” “It is possible to check-in the result of a static COSMOS simulation, i.e. a '*.cwr' COSMOS result file can be checked in to the vault - however this is not the case for the results file (*.fld) of a COSMOS flow simulation”
How would I attach myself to SPR 655285?
Well a good way is to contact your VAR and have them attach you to it via an SR.
They may have some advice for a possible work around, and if you have a business critical issue that needs to be addressed by the SPR; the VAR has a channel to be able to petition for Escalation of the issue on your behalf.
It is also one avenue to keep the contact between yourself and your VAR current.
The other direct way is to just search for the SPR number in the KB.
When you find it and click on the link; you will see a feedback section and under the question: "Find what you were looking for?":
set the radio button for: "Yes, but notify me when this is fixed. (SPR only)
....and how do you search for SPR number in the what (kb)?
Sorry for the shorthand. KB or the “Knowledge Base” is a searchable collection of Software Performance Reviews (SPRs) and written Solutions to common questions.
Of the ways to reach the KB (There are links to it from various locations on the website); the most direct is:
When you login to the Customer Portal, you will see the section header for “Self-Service”
The first link under the sub header of “My Support” is to the “Knowledge Base”
There you can enter keywords describing an issue or enter a known SPR number.
