I can't zoom or rotate the preview of solidworks files in my EPDM preview pane. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks!
The most current installation of eDrawings may not be the correct one. See solution S-040655 in the SolidWorks knowledge base for instructions on how to remove *all* instances of eDrawings .
Once you have done that, perform a repair on your EPDM installation, which should install the proper eDrawings version.
If you use administrative images for your SolidWorks installations, make sure you *don't* have it install eDrawings. This will prevent problems down the road. Allow EPDM to install it instead.
I forget wher the setting is, but there is one that will make it use an image for the preview, rather than edrawings. I suspect that is the issue.
Click on Display > Options > Select Show Full UI for in SolidWorks Preview !
Hope this helps.
I don't have that listed as a choice under options. I checked with a coworker who has the same EPDM installation and he does. Any other ideas?
Do you have multipe versions of e-drawings on your machine ? also check what type of client installed on your machine ? by going to adminsitration tool > help > about solidworks enterprise pdm.
My client type is PDM Editor and Web. I do have two versions of edrawings installed, do you think this is the problem?
The setting that you are looking to uncheck is Display > Options > Show Bitmap for SolidWorks Files. This should enable the eDrawings preview. To show the eDrawings user interface, make sure that Display > Options > Show Full UI in SolidWorks Preview is checked.
For some reason I'm missing most of the options that you have. An update to Raghavendra's suggestion, I removed all but the most current installation of eDrawings but to no avail.
That did the trick. Thanks Jim!
