Hi All,

I'm a student studying Product Design, currently on placement for a year before my final year. Just bought a new laptop, shiny and powerful and Windows 8.

Installed Solidworks student edition no trouble on my last laptop for the first 2 years of my degree, now wanting to install on my new laptop for some practise before final year.

I'm getting this error between 20 and 30% completion -

"Internal error: The Windows Installer for this product component did not run as expected: RollbackUnReg_DocMgrDLL.9FB07B3D_0B7D_4A2F_82AB_F16B1F24912C.

Contact Technical Support."

I've no idea what is wrong to be honest! Had a quick google and there seems to be very minimal error occurence and no proven fix. I've cleaned out my registry and that didn't work. Can anyone please help? I'm really in need of an installtion asap as not only do I need to keep practise up but have some outside interest in work too.

I can upload the .zip of log files in the directory saved out as requested by the error.
