Add holes to bent piece...only know dimensions in the flat

I need to go back and add two holes to a bent sheet metal piece.  The holes will be punched while the steel is still flat, so the dimensions in the flat drawing are critical, not when it is formed.  The holes will go where I drew the yellow circles in the image below.

I unsurpressed the "Flat Pattern" and sketched the circular holes (see image below).  But when I unsupress the "Flat Pattern" they do away.

I know how to add the wholes directly onto the model when it is bent, but as I mentioned before I don't know where to located the holes when it is bent - only in the flat.  Or should I say I need them located based on the flat dimensions, not when it is meant.

Am I going about this all wrong?  I'm assuming I am...
