What is the best way to tranfer back and forth (about once a week) the sw license between 2 computers?
If the license is networking type then one machine can bought it for one week and then another else connect to Internet and return license from one machine and then activate in second machine.
Is this a stand alone seat or a network license?
Stand alone seat just de-activate on the current computer, the re-activate on the other computer. Do the opposite when you return.
If is is an SNL licenes you can Borrow the license from the SNL server for the length of time you need it. You will need to borrow a seat of Standard SolidWorks along with whatever Pro or Premium seat you may also require.
This is stand alone license.
Just searching over the threads and found out the number of tranfers can be up to 999 times
A stand-alone license allows it to be installed and activated on both a primary computer and a backup computer as long as they are not using the software at the same time. There is no transferring needed in that case.
As Jeff stated, it's called the 80-20 rule or work and home computer.
But if this is the work seat and you are not the owner that may not fly.
What I mean here is to transfer between the second and third computer

Basically you are allowed to transfer a licence 999 times. This can be performed online via Help > Transfer Licences.
Just upgrade to a network license, that way you can check out on the laptop, go to the cusomer do the work come back and check it back in.
you can vpn in from home and ping the dongle to run it
