I am working on a part and I got all my simulation results. And currently my FOS value is much bigger than 1. How can I determine the load at which my FOS is less than 1, meaning the part will theoretically fail?
so if your minimum FOS is currently 3, and you have a relatively simple load case, you could just multiply your load by 3. that will usually get you very close.
Well if you have simulation pro you can run an optimization and put in a safety factor of 1 and it will run through different setups and it will make changes to material thinkness etc. and show you the results. If you don't have pro you have to make change manually and rerun the simulation.
