"Sketch is fully defined but has no contour geometry" is the message I get on opening a part template which was saved without any problem (although in order to fullly define the sketch I had to Fix every element).

I have attached:-

     .dxf supplied by the local steel mill showing Autocad blocks.

      .slddrw of .dxf file showing Solidworks blocks.

     .sldblk saved from .slddrw.

     .prtdot extruded from .sldblk in a template customised for steel parts.

The problem can be worked around by re-extruding each time I create a part, but perhaps there is a better way of doing this.
