Scenario #1.

I create a 1" rd tube as a solid and put a 3/8" thru hole in the center of the tube. Then add a .001" cut down the center of the tube so that I can convert the tube to sheetmetal.

Scenario #2.

I create a 1" rd tube as a sheetmetal part and use base flange tab. Then put a 3/8" thru hole in the center of the tube.

Result.

The ending result is, two totally different holes.

You would think that I would get the same end result right??

Well it's not and it has caused some major issues at work.

Is there a reason Solidworks can't figure the hole out right??

I have attached the files and a pdf on how the holes look differently.

Does anybody know why this happens?
