    Hello,

I have run into this situation before and usually solved it with variable fillet however the results are not really what I want. Here is the scenario, take a simple tube and cut the end on a 45 degree angle all the way through. Now I want to have a fillet on the outside corner that is tangent to the side wall only. I want the tangency to be parallel to the 45 degree angle which will give it a constant distance from the angled end. I want to be able stop the non-tangent edge of the fillet at a specified distance from the inside diameter of the tube.

What is the easiest way to create this fillet? I have attached my actual model to this post. It has a .005 constant corner fillet as of now but I would like to get the above fillet type on the edge instead of the constant fillet.

I would also be interested in knowing the best way to create the fillet if both edges were tangent. I would still want to be able to specify the distance from the inside diameter and the end of the fillet, but in this case the fillet would be tangent to the side wall and the angled face.

Thanks in advance for any help.
