Hello, I have an assembly that several parts inside and when I want to open a function that takes 3-4 minutes to open and close the same thing. There there a property in the system options should I change???? Because I checked the site solidworks all my equipment that I have and it is up to date and it has not changed. Is it normal that with solidworks visited parts 800-1000 near his coming? By the way, I solidworks 2012.

Thank you for the reply Mr. Burrill. But my drawing was created from version solidworks 2012 and I checked my performance options, and then everything was fine.

Are you saying that your assembly was working and well and suddenly started having problems where some parts or assemblies take 3 to 4 minutes to open? Or has it always had this slow performance?
I can't offer you a solution, no matter which way you answer; I am just hoping that clarifying when the problem began to appear may help someone else come up with an answer.

Joel, have you converted your files to the 2012 format yet? It takes longer for Solidworks to open files from previous versions because it has to translate them in memory. If you're not saving your changes to the referenced files when you close your assembly, they're not being updated and SW has to convert them on each open.
That's a guess.
System options that affect open times include 'search file locations for external references' loading referenced components fully resolved, 'design verification on rebuild.'
Check for these settings in system options on the 'external references' and 'perfromance' panels
