Need help on shelling a part - minimum radius of curvature can't figure out

I am hoping someone can help on figuring out why a shell command fails for a minimum radius of curvature. I am trying to shell the entire part to a thickness of 0.050". In the attached file the shell is currently surpressed. I tried the diagnose tips and related but I do not understand how to correct. Is it the way I am trying to boundry surface and its constraints??

This is my first attemp at trying surfacing - so I am sure there are better ways to make some of the features. The part is for making an RC boat hull and cowling. This is the reason for the split lines.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike
