Hello everybody,

Currently, I am trying to save a file for an older version of Solidworks (I have 2011 Student Edition an the file needs to be opened in SW 2010 Premium).

This is not possible, as SW is not backwards compatible.

I have read about saving the files as a parasolid file, which would allow older versions of SW to open the file (without some features etc).

However, since I have a student version, this is not possible; I only have four extion-options to choose from when saving and parasolid is not one of them

Is there any other way in the Student kit to open the 2011 file in 2010?
