Re: compatible
Glenn Schroeder Oct 10, 2012 11:46 AM (in response to Brian Place)SW 2013 sp 0 is available for download as of yesterday evening. I saw at the download site that it's compatible with Vista, Win7, and Win8.

Kelvin Lamport Oct 10, 2012 12:37 PM (in response to Brian Place)As far as I know, the various versions of Office 2013 will start being released between early November & should be all released early 2013. I assume they have given you a "pre-release" (i.e. not ready for production use) version.
I would have them uninstall 2013 and install 2010.

Re: compatible
Kelvin Lamport Oct 10, 2012 1:58 PM (in response to Brian Place)That's because SW 2013 doesn't recognize Excel 2013. You will probably need to install Excel 2010.

Re: compatible
Brian Place Oct 10, 2012 2:19 PM (in response to Brian Place)but what's weird'
2012 would load the auto create table before it locked up and said Microsoft could not find the license.
2013 design table is grayed out and can not even try to start it

Re: compatible
Kelvin Lamport Oct 10, 2012 2:32 PM (in response to Brian Place)I interpret that as SW13 being more intelligent than SW12 because it doesn't waste time preparing to open a file until it finds the software to open the file with ... or that it has already scanned the system & knows the required software is not installed.
