We put a correction in place on our side to addressed the IE9 issue. You will not have to do anything on your side.
- A moderator can unmark an answer if there is a better one. I did this again to make this the actual "answer" to this question.
- IE7 users need to look to other solutions, either update IE or use another browser. Usage of IE7 is down to 1% of the traffic on this site.
The only way I was able to create a new line was by pressing enter inside an existing text line.
Also, cannot embed videos.
works for me
Using IE9 on 2 different computers, same results.
Alin, It's not working for me either (IE9). Also can't post a .png.
Looks like the HTML editor is broken. It made a mess from my post on the What's New thread.
Looks like all is well for me with Firefox
Kelvin, if this does not get fixed until I get back from the 2013 launch event in Cambridge, I might need to install Firefox...
yes, it works in Firefox.
testtesttest still not working in IE9
Alin, I am running IE9 and the only way I see to get a CR is to hold the
WHILE PRESSING ENTER
Definately something going on though because as I type my cursor keeps jumping up to other lines by itself!pefully see, did it again, I was on the line below
very odd, hopefully SW guys get this fixed soon
Paul, try to do any editing like changing colors or fonts. Does it work for you? Can you embed a video?
Looks like this forum is promoting Firefox at the expense of IE.
this font should be red
test again... I've lost a lot of replies and couldn't even start a new discussion
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH keep loosing replies
SW People..... any comments?
Testing with Firefox
Works like a charm
Testing with Chrome
Testing with Safari
Testing with Opera
Testing with IE9
Works only after first using Shift+Enter once
There seem to be other problems in the Customer Portal when using IE9, so most likely this is just a temporary issue due to the upgrades that are going on. Will check with SW this afternoon.
We know what is happening here.
It's has to do with IE compatibility mode. We will address the issue on our side but until then then I would suggest:
- Don't use IE9.
- If you use IE9, set the Document mode to IE8 Standards. (F12 Document mode pull-down).
I will post back here when we have update the site to force this setting.
Many thanks Greg.
BTW, I agree that yours was the correct answer, but I do not remember marking it as such myself.
It works fine.
Many thanks, Greg!
Time to uninstall Firefox.
