Whenever I download a part, say a lens in STEP format from Edmund Optics, it will import in as yellow. Once I save as a part, I can't seem to get the part to change colors. I have tried "Remove All Appearances" on the top part level, every body, and surface/solid entity level, and still no dice.

Where the heck is it retaining this color info from? And how do I get rid of it??

Also, as a side note, it seems like the whole colors/appearances/materials/decals/etc stuff has become insanely convoluted in newer versions of SW. I mean, I've got colors, textures, realview appearances, render appearances; and about 3-4 differnet places in SW to edit them. It's crazy. Anyone else feel this way?
