im new here
so here's the study
i have a imported part from .step
after i knit the surface, how to make solid body.. (no empty space inside body)??\
because i want to make a draw a section into it.
Your part has got open area which needs to be filled using the surface tools. Once you've done that then you can knit and make your part solid.
Welcome to SolidWorks forums Panji.
You've two choices based on your model:
Use the option "Try to make solid" while you're using the knit surface command.
In case you've a enclosed surface body then use Insert > Boss/base > Thicken and select the option Create solid from enclosed volume
