Often when I model complex parts using multiple techniques, I end up with slivers and small surfaces like the one in the image below. The main problem is that it leaves a step of ~0.1mm, which upsets the FEA and will leaf to problems when we go to machine the die (cast part). In this instance, the sliver is the result of an intersection between a loft and a revolve. Perhaps with the proper modeling techniques you'd never ge these, but I seem to encounter them often. What can be done to smooth the surface? If this was a physical part I'd just put it up against a belt sander but Soldidworks doesn't seem to include such a tool. The geometry in this area isn't particularly sensitive, it just need to look ok and be continuous.

I'm really looking for ideas on techniques rather than a specific solution to this one problem, as it's and issue I repeatedly encounter. Thoughts? Thanks!
