Hi everyone,
I've recently started a new job at a French company. All their softwares are in French, and all their manufacturing drawings are in French as well.
I've always ever used Solidworks in English, so it's definitely taking some getting used to to use the French version.
But lucky me - I have now been tasked to install the 2012 SW upgrade (from 2011).
My questions is this:
Can I install Solidworks with Enlgish AND French languages?
Essentially, I would like to have the software interfence itself be English, but would need the drawing standards, for example, to all be in French.
Ex. for hole callout:
drawings need to show "A TRAVERS" instead of "THROUGH ALL".
Thanks for the help.
Note that I did find these two options in Options>General:
1) Use English menus
2) Use English feature names
The problem with #1 is that the drawing and materials all become English, while I need them to stay in French.
The problem with #2 is that the menus used in SW remain in French, while I'd like them to be in English.
Essentially all I want is for the SW interface (menus, features etc) to be in English, however the drawing language, materials, etc need to stay in French.
Not too confident this can be done anymore...
