GoEngineer, the leading reseller of SolidWorks 3D design automation solutions in North America, has an immediate need for a Regional Sales Manager in their south central territory (Houston, TX)

TITLE:  Regional Sales Manager


LOCATION:   Houston, TX

DESCRIPTION:   Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting regional revenue and software license growth objectives as well driving continuous improvement and performance of the area sales team. 

Typical work activities include:


  • Establish and regularly monitor Sales Reps weekly, monthly and quarterly license and revenue performance
  • Assist Reps with development of larger and/or strategic sales opportunities
  • Able to support multi-product, team-oriented, solution selling environment
  • Assist with the ongoing recruitment and development of  regional and supporting corporate Sales Reps
  • Coordinate with Marketing on territory-specific activity planning & execution
  • Work closely with regional SolidWorks representatives to ensure goal alignment and performance

  • Experience in managing small/medium direct, sales teams
  • Three+ years of sales management and five+ years selling technical products direct to the end-user
  • Experience selling scientific/engineering software in one or more of the following categories;  CAD/CAM/CAE, EDA, Simulation, or related vertical markets
  • Adept at working closely with internal and vendor corporate executives, marketing, and customer support
  • Demonstrable skills in establishing plans, evaluating results, and managing necessary changes to achieve goals
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use forecasting tools & spreadsheets  to evaluate plans and results leading to increased sales and profitability
  • Ability to instill confidence in direct reports.  Great recruiter, coach, mentor, trainer, and goal setter.
  • Proven performance at consistently achieving goals
  • Desire to manage direct sales reports and to carry quota for selected assigned accounts and territories
