hi everyone how come when i export flat pattern double lines show where chamfers are but not in fillet? i do know i can do a fold /unfold
There is an option to make tangent edges visible. Right Click on the view in the drawing and you should see Tangent Edge. Just click make visible. To do it to the entire document click on Tools-Options-System Options-Diaplay/Selection and the options are in the third block down.
Hope this helps!!!
let me clarify in the feature tree right click flat pasttern export to dxf, i don't want the double lines to show
I beleive that because the chamfer/fillet is included in the part they will show up by default. The only way I know to get rid of them is to suppress them in the feature tree prior to exporting.
if you export the double lines only show up on the chamfers not on the fillets
Yes. that is because the chamfer adds an edge at some angle. while a radius is tangent. default drafting standards would show all "sharp" edges, but not tangent ones.
You have several choices;
1) Suppress the Chamfer feature before exporting
2) Use the Remove Entities tool in the Cleanup box3) Edit the Flat-Pattern1 feature and change the Fixed Face to one of the back faces.
thanks guys all the options are good and have been tried i guess we will just stay with fold/unfold
Be aware that the Unfold feature will not necessarily give the same result as Flatten.
