What kind of changes you're doing. Make sure you're doing the changes in appropriate configuration of the child part (if any)
i have a small weldment with a locking latch i changed the length of the latch and widenened a groove when i go to the sub assembly which is the complete weldment and all the latch is still the same, so i am changing these details at the basic part level?
If you have done a Ctrl+Q rebuild, and if you are certain that the part you're changing is the same part and configuration referenced by your sub-assembly, I don't know what it could be.
