Ever have a lengthy analysis running and want to know when it's complete, or if it has failed? I regularly run analyses over the weekend and would typically "remote in" to check the status, however I was interested in something more active, something that would notify me regarding the status of my simulation. It would be sweet if there were something built into SolidWorks that would send you status emails or something, but obviously that's not a reality (yet?). In my search for this means of monitoring simulation, I came across an app that appeared to have some possibilities. PC Monitor gives you an amazing connection between your computer and Android / iPhone / iPad. One of the items I was most interested in is the ability to send a notification to your mobile device based on your PC processes... Like if star.exe or nstar.exe stops! I've been using it for about a month and have been amazed at how well it works. There are a ton of uses for this app, as it can connect to your PC on many different levels.

I am no way affiliated with PC Monitor... Just a nerd that wanted to share a cool find.
