Is anyone using the function called "Snapshot" in SolidWorks? It looks like a combination of a named view and a display state. What do you use snapshots for? Any info or comments anyone has on this are welcome.
First of all, I never even knew of such a function, so thanks for showing me that!! This looks like a good tool for reviewing a design digitally with a client or a supervisor. You could take a snapshot of how you are creating a certain feature, how to assemble a part with multiple parts in a confined area, ...etc. Also if the client or supervisor is a SolidoWorks user they could create snapshots to show you what they see wrong or perhaps a better way to do it, ...etc.
This could be a very simple, yet effective tool for getting a concept across simply.
But couldn't you also do that with a display state? It looks to also have some similarities with the Isolate tool. I'm just wondering why you'd use this instead of something else, or why was this necessary.
Thanks for the response.
