    keeping mass properties

I'm trying to convert an assembly from Pro/E to Solidworks and would like to keep the mass/inertia properties of parts. Is there a way to do this?

I've tried STEP and parasolid formats but neither of these seem to work. Curiously, with parasolid files, exporting them from Pro/E and importing them back into Pro/E seems to keep mass information, while exporting them from SolidWorks and back again doesn't. This seems to suggest that parasolid files do contain mass information, and that SolidWorks just doesn't recognize it. Is this True?

Any help or suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.

The total Mass or Density can be assigned to the model in 2006. If the centroid of the ProE model is known, using the Move/Copy Body Function in SW, you hopefully can move the body exacly where needed.
