I have a beans in a jar scenario I want to create visually to show in a cut away. I want to show a bunch of cubes in a canister as if they were just dumped in there. Is this possible to do?
Thanks Joseph Pickens
I do not know of an easy way to do this.
This is what I tried, it may give you some ideas.
I first made a two body part of a cube and sphere.
I applied a mate reference to the outside of the sphere.
I made the container and put mate refs on the inside.
I then made an assembly , starting with the container and dragged in a sphere.
Alt+ drag near to the container automatically gives you the mate.
Ctrl+drag to make another one, Alt+ drag to mate it to the next etc..
Open the sphere part, hide the sphere to reveal the cube.
It can be a bit long winded, but it works for me!
Is it something like this which you are after !
That’s pretty close but in looking for something a little denser and to have some cubes on rotated from the other cubes I and looking into trying to rotate the part slightly as I pattern it.
That works very well for what im doing
Glad to help.
Kind of a dumb question but how did you make your cube so you can view as just a cube and just a sphere
i got it thanks lol
I think Adrain has given you enough info about it and hopefully it will work.
Have a look at this one !
