I've some decal that is giving me hard time.
It will show in the assembly, but disappear when I open the part on which the decal is attached.
The view decal option is on.
Where did you attach the decal, in the assembly or the part file?
In the part file
Try editing the decal to check if the image path is still valid.
Are there different configurations of the part?
The field above the browse button show the correct path of where my decal picture is.
I can actually see a preview when I hover with the cursor on the display manager tree.
Yes, I've 2 configurations in the sampe part.
I'm sure you've tried the different configurations to check if the decal is visible.
I have had problems in the past with configurations.
I went through each configuration, repicking the face for the decal and redefining the file path.
Have you checked the Alpha channel settings for the image?
Yes, I've tried but nothing
What is the alpha channe setting?
Check the Mask Image section to see what your settings are,
"Use Decal image alpha channel" can often leave you with no image.
Can you post the part?
Can't open it - future version, I'm on 2011 sp3.
(You need to update your profile.)
Can someone else out there have a look please?
Are you absolutely sure that the View Decals is switched on in the part file?
Try opening other decalled parts - is there a problem there?
If all else fails, make another part.
Yes, sure....you mean this one right? see below
All other parts with decal show up properly.
Yes, I will create a new part. Actually I've already tried using the same image file and
is working fine. I was trying to understand if there was some wrong setting so that
in the future I could solve the problem without becoming so crazy.
Thanks for your help
Yes that's the one...I had to ask.
I know...It can get to you at times.
