Ihave a problem in getting the Double arrow on one side for a linear dimendsion of diameter in solidworks 2012.
Can any one help me out to know how to get this type of dimension in a sectioned view
Foreshortening of a linear dimension with the double-arrow is only available for diameter dimensions which are model items that have been dragged from a parent view to a detail view. It is technically incorrect to have non-radial dimensions that are foreshortened in the way that you described (sometimes refered to as clipped dimensions) since the other end of the dimension would be going off into space to an unspecified feature at the other end. However, we do support behavior like this for ordianate dimensions where "0" baseline is obvious.
Even still, if enough customers want clipped dimensions, we will look into that functionality. There is an open SPR in the Enhancement Request for this functionality, if you wish to place a vote for it.
